DISCOVER PRAGUE THROUGH THE EYES OF A LOCAL

At the beginning, you will meet a local guide who will briefly introduce you to modern Czech history. You will soon discover that Prague is not just its historic city center, which locals jokingly refer to as “Disneyland.” After the introduction, we head to one of Prague’s most interesting neighborhoods, Holešovice, which was ranked by The Guardian among the five coolest districts in Europe.

Our first stop is the courtyard of the Prague Centre for Contemporary Art, a hidden cultural spot away from the main tourist routes. Next, you will see a powerful mural dedicated to Milada Horáková, a Czech politician and victim of the communist regime. As we continue walking through Holešovice, your guide will introduce you to the atmosphere of the neighborhood, share its stories, and recommend interesting places to shop or enjoy a drink later in the evening. During the tour, you will also learn about atheism in the Czech Republic and the current situation of the LGBT+ community. Our next stop is a hidden skate park with a legal graffiti wall, where many street artists took their first steps. We then head to Holešovice Market, a former industrial area that was once home to a large Vietnamese community. Today, it is a vibrant space hosting festivals, markets, exhibitions, and cultural events. From there, we continue to Vnitroblock, a stylish café and creative hub in a former factory, where we take a break and admire graffiti and  murals in the courtyard. Those who wish can grab a coffee. You can also shop for unique fashion pieces, try homemade gin from a local distillery, visit an exhibition, or simply enjoy the atmosphere. Afterwards, you will learn about the Institute of Crypto Anarchy and see murals by artists Dede, Tim Marsh, AEC, and others. The tour ends at Cross Club, home to one of Prague’s most famous techno clubs. The entire venue is built from recycled buses, cars, and metal parts, making it an iconic example of industrial design. At the end of the tour, your guide will share insider tips on events, alternative venues, and other neighborhoods and places worth exploring after the tour.

Such an interesting and unusual tour! Highly recommend it!

Lior L. – Madrid, Spain

The tour was extremely interesting, very special and unusual, seeing Prague out of the main touristic areas. Thomas was a great guide, seems like he knows the city very well and had the answers to all of our different questions about the city... I highly recommend this tour to anybody coming to experience Prague.

Great tour!

Roman G. – Sao Paulo, Br

The tour was great and very interesting. Our guide Eliska was very knowledgeable, and told us great many things about Prague, it's recent and distant history, and of course about street art and culture. Very recommend tour for everyone wanting to get a taste of the less tourist sights in the great city of Prague.
