When and where the tour start?
Regular Alternative Tour starts on Tuesday, Wednesday, Friday, Saturday and Sunday at 1:30 PM in front of Palladium shopping centre.

How do I recognize the guide?
Your guide will be holding a black umbrella with Alternative Prague Tour sign on it.

What language are the tours given in?
We are a small team of local guides and we give tours in English only.

Can I pay in Euros?
You can pay in Euros on the spot. We accept notes only and count with the exchange rate 1Euro = 25 CZK.

Is the tour wheelchair accessible?
The Alternative tour is not fully wheelchair accessible. If you would like to attend tours using a wheelchair, please contact us beforehand. We will try our best to adapt the tour towards your needs.

Is the tour cancelled due to inclement weather?
Tours run rain or shine. In the event of a tour cancellation, you will be contacted and certainly be allowed to reschedule or refund.

What are the cancellation fees?
It is not possible to make changes to existing bookings, unless Alternative Prague Tours receives notification 24 hours in advance, in writing to info@alternative-prague.com. As a rule, we refund all deposits if you cancel 48 hours the scheduled date of the reserved experience, minus the transaction costs. We are sorry but we keep the deposit if you cancel later to cover the associated costs.
Do I have to make a reservation or can I just show up?
Reservations are required for guaranteed spots on all Alternative Prague tours and experiences. Reservations help us determine the number of guides we need to ensure that our groups remain manageable and enjoyable. In case of regular scheduled tours walk-up guests will be permitted if space is available. 

Do the tours ever get cancelled for weather?
The show must go on! Our tours go out rain or shine. Dress appropriately for the conditions. If the weather is bad your guide will include as many “bad weather” indoor stops as possible. Comfortable walking shoes are recommended. 

Why should I submit my phone number when making a reservation?
This is optional. You will receive your reservation confirmation and a reminder on the day before your tour via email. We do recommend, however, that you hand in a phone number by which you can be reached on the day of the tour. This way, your tour guide can get in touch with you if there are any short notice changes to the tour or if you get lost.

Do I need to include children/babies in my reservation?
Yes. Reservations are required for all persons, regardless of age. Some sites limit the number of people.

What happens if we arrive late to the tour or scheduled activity?
Please, please, please try to be on time. We recommend arriving at the starting location approx. 10 minutes before the tour starts. You don’t want to be the person arriving late and having to call and interrupt the guide in the middle of a tour. Your email reminder that you receive the day before the tour should list the tour guide’s name and phone number. Any late arrivals with reservations who do not contact us may have their reserved spots allotted to walk-up guests. 

I have changed my mind and cannot come to the tour. Do I have to let you know?
Yes! Please give us at least a 24-hour notice before your tour starts. The number of available spots on any tour are limited and we often have to send away interested guests, because there is no more space. We refund all deposits if you cancel 2 days before the scheduled date of the reserved experience, minus the transaction costs. We are sorry but we keep the deposit if you cancel later to cover the associated costs. 

Can my children attend a tour without me?
While we do love having younger visitors join us, we do require they attend the tour with an adult.

Can we bring our dog/cat/horse?
We love pets, but unfortunately not all guests do. Registered service animals are allowed on all tours. If you want to join a regular tour with your pet, please contact us in advance.

Where does the tour/activity start and end?
Every tour page has an iformation about the meeting point and ending location listed.

Are your tours wheelchair/stroller accessible?
While we will do all we can to offer accessible tours, not every tour can accommodate wheelchairs or strollers. Please contact us before booking to ensure that we can make the route accessible.

Do you offer private tours?
We do offer private tours! Our minimum is 1 and the maximum depends on the tour. If you are a big group or you want to experience the tour just by yourself or with a family or friends, please don't hesitate to contact us. Please, be prepared that the private tour for a small group is always more expensive than the regular scheduled tour where you share the costs with others.
